Cascade

It’s along winter down here in Margaret River. Weeks of wet cold weather with relentless onshore winds. Beautiful but somewhat spartan. Most locals go away for at least some of it.

Summer is the balance.  Long hot dry days, everyone is casual, beautiful surrounds, Indian Ocean, etc etc. You get the picture.

I headed to the northern end of the peninsula last night and grabbed a few images from a pretty idyllic afternoon beach scene. Fun little waves and just generally a great night on the beach.

You have to love summer.

One comment on the images.

I was down there for a couple of hours watching the surf. Not too crowded but certainly a reasonable number of pretty competent surfers out. I saw plenty of waves ridden and some nice turns, tubes etc. By far the best move of the day was by local girl pro Claire Bevilacqua. That’s the big turn in the images. She only got a couple of waves but blew the guys out the water. Nice.

What’s happening you ask? Well the Blue Ginger exhibition is still ticking away. AND a big apology I haven’t told you yet but I have a new Exhibit at Flametree wines, Dunsborough. It is way bigger than the Blue Ginger and a really nice space to view the images. Having said that the Blue Ginger’s coffee is epic. Take your pick.

Speak soon.
